Senior Consultant – Digital, Campaigns

Campaigns Practice
CT Group’s Campaigns practice combines regulatory affairs, media management, government relations, public policy, advertising, digital and social media, and campaigns management into a coordinated effort to solve some of the most complex and pressing problems for our clients.
We use our methodology, the CT Way, to shape and influence behaviour in the desired direction by targeting the motivations of key actors or audiences utilising identified levers and messages to achieve our desired outcome. Our campaigns are evidence-based and results-focused, built on our decades of experience in political and corporate campaigns.
Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Sydney office working within our Campaigns team, with a specific focus on digital campaign strategy and execution. Senior Consultants are responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of digital campaign activity across a portfolio of projects, working closely with project leads and clients to execute data-driven, results-focused campaigns.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the digital workstream across a variety of political and corporate campaign projects
- Developing and executing digital campaign strategies across paid, owned and earned channels
- Managing and optimising paid digital advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, YouTube, and programmatic platforms
- Building and managing audience segmentation, targeting and retargeting strategies using research insights or customer/voter data data and voter or customer files
- Producing client-ready reports, presentations and strategic recommendations using digital campaign insights for review by project leads
- Supporting proposals, client pitches, and new business development with digital campaign expertise
- Monitoring campaign performance, interpreting analytics and translating data into actionable insights
- Identifying opportunities and risks across digital campaign activity and escalating to relevant project leads as appropriate
- Contributing to the development and application of the CT Way Methodology across digital campaign projects
- Managing relationships with digital suppliers and platforms, including feasibility assessments and vendor coordination
- Ensuring timely and professional communication with clients, managing expectations in line with project scope
Skills
The successful candidate will be a digitally fluent campaign professional with the ability to work analytically and creatively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. A high level of attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to produce accurately written reports, well-designed presentations, and compelling digital content. The ideal candidate should have a curious mindset, be active in keeping up to date with current affairs and digital trends, and possess the following:
- 3–5 years’ experience in digital campaigns, political campaigning, or a similar strategic communications role
- Demonstrated experience managing paid digital advertising across Meta, Google and YouTube or other native advertising platform
- Strong understanding of data analytics, audience segmentation, and campaign performance reporting
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms and digital fundraising tools
- Working knowledge of content strategy, social media management, and digital copywriting
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to work
- Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead digital workstreams independently
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Strong organisation and methodical working practices
- Adaptability and ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is a prerequisite
- Knowledge and/or experience with SEO and GEO strategies is desirable.
