Intelligence Practice
CT Group’s Intelligence practice undertakes a variety of global intelligence investigations that include geopolitical intelligence, due diligence, asset tracing, digital investigation, and dispute support.
Managers are responsible for leading and managing intelligence projects from scoping to delivery, overseeing project teams, and ensuring all deliverables are completed to a high standard and are client ready.
Position Summary
Managers lead and manage intelligence projects across the full project lifecycle – from scoping and feasibility through to delivery and client reporting. They are responsible for managing project teams, coaching and mentoring consultants, maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to business development.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and managing projects across a variety of intelligence engagements, from scoping to delivery
- Directing, overseeing, and quality-assuring research and analysis conducted by the project team
- Ensuring all project deliverables, including reports and presentations, are completed to a high standard and are client ready
- Producing and reviewing data, documents, and presentations for internal and external clients to a client-ready standard
- Taking an active role in proposals, presentations, and client pitches for new and existing clients, including contributing to the development of new business opportunities
- Defining and managing the scope of work required for projects, including contacting and managing external suppliers and contractors, and conducting feasibility assessments independently
- Anticipating project risks and opportunities, proactively seeking solutions, and escalating to senior leadership where appropriate
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the CT Way Methodology and applying it rigorously across all projects, coaching and mentoring consultants in its application
- Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to develop strong professional relationships, manage client expectations, and ensure timely and high-quality responses are provided
Key attributes:
- Regional language skills, in particular Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin or Vietnamese are highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to clients and senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities, working with autonomy, and demonstrating drive and tenacity
- Excellent stakeholder management both internally and externally, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships independently
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams, including coaching and mentoring more junior consultants and providing timely feedback on project deliverables
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence, with experience in problem diagnosis, solution development, decision-making facilitation, and project profitability
- Experience in business development would be beneficial, with a desire and willingness to build and leverage an external professional network
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across client service, practice development, and business development responsibilities
- Adaptability and ability to prioritise and work under pressure, with the ability to anticipate the long-term impact of decisions and take a broad approach to problem-solving; and
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is a prerequisite.
One or more of the following skills would also be highly desirable:
- Proven investigation skills, including advanced social media and online investigation methodologies, with the ability to lead teams in conducting complex investigations.
- Technical skills associated with online investigations, with the ability to direct and guide others in these technical areas.
- Proven experience with data visualisation tools and techniques (using i2 and other platforms), with the ability to produce and oversee the production of insightful analytical outputs.
- An established network of business and/or security/investigations/intelligence contacts that can support project delivery and business development.
