Julian has over 15 years’ experience advising senior decision-makers on geopolitics, regulation and investments. He specialises in helping clients manage political, regulatory and reputational risks around cross-border M&A, market entry and strategic partnerships, combining a deep understanding of complex regulatory environments with detailed knowledge of European and Middle Eastern political and economic landscapes.
Julian is a former foreign and defence policy adviser to Germany’s current chancellor, Friedrich Merz, and previously served at the heart of the German government’s foreign policy and security establishment. In the private sector, he has advised corporate, private equity and sovereign wealth clients on M&A, regulatory risk, integrity due diligence and sensitive disputes.
