Andrew Carswell

Andrew Carswell is the Senior Director at CT Group Australia.

He is a strategic communicator and political and media adviser with more than 25 years of experience in federal politics, media and crisis management, and journalism, with extensive experience in campaigning, public policy and media strategy.

Prior to joining CT Group, Andrew was the Managing Director and founder of Headline Advisory, a firm specializing in political campaigns, media strategy, and public affairs.

Prior to launching the firm, Andrew was Head of Media and Communications and Press Secretary to Australia's 30th Prime Minister Scott Morrison. 

In this role, Andrew was a primary adviser to the Prime Minister, led the Government's media and communications strategy, provided strategic media and political advice to the Prime Minister and cabinet ministers, built key relationships with national editors and media CEOs, and led the creation of policy narrative.

Prior, Andrew spent 19 years in journalism, senior editorial planning and newsroom management, most notably as the Chief of Staff with News Corp Australia's The Daily Telegraph, and as a senior writer across national mastheads.
