CT Group marks 20-year anniversary; announces board changes

CT Group, the global research, campaigns, intelligence and advisory firm, announces long-standing Chairman and prominent businessman Robert Champion de Crespigny AC will be retiring from the CT Group’s Board, as the firm marks its twenty-year anniversary.

Sir Lynton Crosby AO has been appointed by the Board to succeed Mr Champion de Crespigny AC and will become Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Co-founder Mark Textor will continue as a Non-executive Director, and the Board will appoint two new directors over the coming months.

Sir Lynton said: “We can never adequately thank Robert for his support, guidance and commitment.  We have been incredibly lucky to have such an accomplished business figure and friend as a source of advice and counsel over the last twenty years.”

CT Group was founded in Canberra in 2002 as Crosby|Textor by Sir Lynton and Mr Textor, with Mr Champion de Crespigny AC as Chairman. The co-founders had a bold vision to establish the world’s best research, campaigns and advisory firm. Once a company of six, the Group now employs over 140 professionals globally, and has run over 300 campaigns in more than 50 countries.

Sir Lynton continued: “We continue to see enormous opportunity and increasing demand for our services, in traditional and emerging markets. Through a commitment to a ‘one group’ operating model and additional investment we will seek to strengthen and expand our position globally as an independent company.”

The Group also announces that Mark Fullbrook, who co-founded the Group’s London based C|T|F Partners in 2010, will be stepping down as an Executive Board Director and Chief Global Projects Officer. Mr Fullbrook, who has led political and commercial campaigns across the world, will be setting up his own advisory firm, Fullbrook Strategies, later in the year. He remains a founding shareholder, and leaves with the complete support and goodwill of the Board.

Sir Lynton said: “Mark Fullbrook is a campaigner par excellence and knows British politics better than anyone I know.  His impact and expertise have been felt across the business, and whilst it is sad this chapter is coming to a close, we wish Mark great success in his new endeavour and look forward to working alongside him on many projects.”

The CT Group is an international consultancy that combines expertise in research, campaigns, intelligence and giving advice in order to deliver the results our clients need.
