Jules Irens

Jules brings more than three decades of experience across diplomacy, defence and conflict resolution to CT Group, where he focuses on developing new client relationships and expanding the firm's advisory work across Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Prior to joining CT Group, Jules spent 24 years as a senior diplomat with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, with postings to Brussels, Istanbul, Geneva and Kathmandu. He served most recently as Regional Political Officer covering South Asia. Prior to the Foreign Office, Jules worked for the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva.
His career began in the military. Jules served in the French Colonial Parachute Regiment before being commissioned into the British Army's Brigade of Gurkhas, with service across New Caledonia, Hong Kong, Nepal, Australia, Northern Ireland, Brunei, India, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Canada.
A dual British-French national, Jules is bilingual in French, fluent in Nepali, and has working knowledge of Turkish, Indonesian and Spanish.
