James Baxendale OBE

Group Managing Director - UK, Europe and Africa

James is Group Managing Director of CT Group UK, Europe and Africa. With more than 30 years of experience, he has guided leading public and private sector organisations through complex risk governance, reputational and resilience challenges.

Prior to joining CT Group in 2018, James worked at HSBC as its Middle East adviser. He was a Managing Director in Operational Risk based in Dubai, Paris and London. He was responsible for fraud, investigations, cyber, business continuity and crisis management for Global Banking and Markets.

James is a former British foreign services officer, where he served for 19 years in some of the most high-risk countries including in Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. He also has extensive experience of multilateral institutions, having served in Geneva and Brussels.

James was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2007. He speaks French.
