It is now almost universally accepted that human activity has caused climate change and behavioural changes are an essential mitigation measure.[1] The recent United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), which took place from 31 October to 13 November 2021, has produced the “Glasgow Climate Pact”, which has been described as neither a triumph nor a train wreck. On the one hand there have been significant breakthroughs, such as the explicit acknowledgment that coal and fossil fuels are the main drivers of climate change.
