Australians more concerned about China than terrorism in wake of Afghanistan withdrawal

Australians are more concerned about the rising influence of China than threats to national security and terrorism arising from the Afghanistan withdrawal, C/T Group research shows.

The same study says Australians, Britons and Americans also expect there to be a big shift towards Chinese global influence in the next 10 years.

Catherine Douglas, managing director of CT Groups research and campaign strategy business in Australia, said the research showed “that after climate change, the rising global influence of China is the second-most important issue for Australians”.
