The Role
We are currently looking for a Manager to join our Sydney office working within our Research team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects from scoping to delivery
- Ensures all project deliverables are to a high standard and client ready including presentations and reports
- Manages teams on all aspects of a project including allocation of work, coaching and mentoring consultants, and providing timely feedback on project deliverables
- Works closely with clients and internal stakeholders, developing strong professional relationships, and liaises with teams to deliver exceptional work to the client
- Ability to anticipate the long-term impact of decisions and take a broad approach to problem-solving
- Leading on insightful analysis to build an evidence base to support strategy development and change on projects
- Providing research for thought leadership pieces
- Ability to manage conflict and bring resolution, including knowing when to escalate
- Anticipating project risks and actively seeking solutions
- Delivering project extensions and follow-on work, alongside working on new business development opportunities
- Drafting proposals, presentations, and client pitches for new and existing clients
- Ensuring timely responses are provided to clients and understanding and managing client expectations
Skills & experience required
The successful candidate will have the ability to work analytically and creatively in a problem-solving environment. A high level of attention to detail is essential, along with an ability to produce accurately written reports and documents, and well-designed presentations. The ideal candidate should have a curious mindset, active in keeping up to date with current affairs and possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach to work
- A high standard towards their work and of themselves
- Strong stakeholder management, both internally and externally
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with IT, both hardware and software, including Microsoft Office suite, particularly with PowerPoint and creating presentations
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in managing research programs with expertise in quantitative or qualitative methods or both
- Proficiency in research-based software will be of benefit, e.g., Q, SPSS or R
- Strong organisation and methodical working practices
- Adaptability and ability to prioritise and work under-pressure; and
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is a prerequisite
