CT Group is experiencing strong growth in its research, campaigns and intelligence business in Australia.
Increased demand for the Group’s services means we are seeking talented and dedicated individuals with an interest in business, campaigns, politics, international affairs, investigations and intelligence.
Our Intelligence Practice has an opportunity for Consultants and Managers in our Sydney office.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research and draft reports as part of a team, working on a variety of global intelligence investigations that may include geopolitical intelligence, due diligence, asset tracing, digital investigation, and litigation support. Training will be provided in the relevant tools and methodologies required for this role.
More experienced candidates will have the opportunity to take on a project management role, helping to lead some of the Group’s most exciting global intelligence engagements.

The Role
Characteristics the successful candidate will possess, include:
- Excellent written and oral English.
- Well-developed research skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Understanding of international politics.
We are seeking two types of recruits:
- Consultants with 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
- Managers with proven experience in running complex investigations.
One or more of the following skills would also be highly desirable:
- Investigation skills, in particular social media and online investigation skills.
- Technical skills associated with online investigations, including experience in ethical hacking and the use of Linux (especially Kali Linux) distributions, familiarity with coding languages (Python, HTML), and an understanding of domain and website analytics.
- Familiarity with open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques.
- Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques (using i2, and other platforms).
- A network of business, security/investigations/intelligence, or political contacts.
- Consulting and/or client engagement experience.
- Language skills.
