The Role
Our Intelligence Practice is growing and an opportunity for an entry level Associate Consultant/Consultant in our London office has arisen.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research and draft reports as part of a team, working on a variety of investigatory assignments including due diligence and litigation support. Training will be provided in the relevant tools and methodologies required for this role. The role will include conducting research across various geographies with the opportunity for individuals to develop a regional specialism, which may be linked to their jurisdictions of interest and/or foreign languages they speak.
Responsibilities
As an Associate Consultant/Consultant you will be expected to:
- Work with project leads across a variety of different projects.
- Research and analyse information for projects.
- Draft reports and presentations for internal and external clients for review by project leads.
- Support with proposals, and client pitches for new and existing clients.
- Understand the scope of work required for projects, contacting suppliers, conducting feasibility assessments with support from managers.
- Identify where opportunities and risks may exist on projects and raising as appropriate to the relevant project lead to assess.
- Develop an understanding of the CT Way Methodology and applying with assistance from project leads.
- Understand, demonstrate, and uphold the CT values.
Skills
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills – a high level of written English is essential.
- Interest in business and current affairs.
- The ability to research, analyse, fact check, summarise and present large amounts of complex information in an accurate and concise manner.
- Attention to detail and an ability to think ‘outside the box’, applying creative problem-solving skills to research questions.
- Fluency in a foreign language is not required but it is desirable. Fluency in Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and/or Russian will be considered an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, both internally and externally and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with IT, both hardware and software, including Microsoft Office suite.
- A proactive approach to work, being able to prioritise and work under-pressure with excellent time management skills
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is a prerequisite.
